More than 20 traders were reportedly killed by Boko Haram militants today, September 19, as they attacked a Borno market, according to SaharaReporters. As an eyewitness reports, the militants stormed Mainok market around 1.20pm and opened fire indiscriminately on traders. Thus, many people sustained various degrees of injuries, though travelers were the intended victims of the ugly attack. “I boarded a Hummer bus from Jos and as soon as we arrived Mainok, at exactly 1.20pm, we heard heavy gunshots from the western part of the market and sporadic gunshots followed,”  a resident of Maiduguri, Talatu Musa, who was traveling from Damaturu, said. According to Talatu Musa, hundreds of traders and residents fled the market in confusion, running to cross the highway to the other side. A man who claims he spent over 24 hours under the rubble of TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) blamed “Satan” rather than structural failure for the collapse. Taiwo Taiwo was among 131 people pulled from the remains of the guesthouse for foreign followers of preacher TB Joshua that collapsed on September 12. The incident took at least 80 people’s lives. According to Taiwo, he was helping visitors at the guesthouse, which could accommodate up to 350 people in its dining hall. He said the accident happened at about 1:10 pm and he was only pulled free at 5:05 pm the following day. Miraculously, Taiwo appeared unscathed apart from a bandaged finger. “Most of them were actually in the church having a lecture from the Wise Man (Joshua). People were coming back to have their lunch,”  said the 28-year-old. “I just noticed a very sharp sound and I looked up and I saw the wall just coming off…, like something you see in the movies. Fintiri’s uncle was allegedly killed in front of his wife and daughter. The founder of the Believers Loveworld Ministries, also known as Christ Embassy, Chris Oyakhilome, on Sunday, enjoined his congregation to refrain from speaking against a man of God. The church also suspended Michelle Okojie, a pastor in Lagos, for her “subversive activities.” The reason for Ms. Okojie’s suspension was not given. This is a pic of a robber who got electrocuted while trying to steal cable from a transformer just beside a house on Iju road by Lonlo bus stop. He apparently tried to steal the cable in the very early hours of today when he got electrocuted and remained in that position until residents woke up this morning. This pretty 26 year old woman, Chantae Gilman, is being accused of breaking into her neighbour's house and raping him. From  TheSmokingGun A Seattle woman has been charged with raping a man who told cops he awoke in his bed to find his attacker sexually assaulting him while she had his hands pinned down, according to a police report. Chantae Gilman, 26, was charged this week in connection with the alleged June 2013 attack inside the 31-year-old victim’s Seattle apartment. Gilman has prior felony convictions for attempted robbery and possession of a stolen vehicle, as well as several misdemeanor convictions, according to court records.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshall Ademola Amosu, said on Monday in Abuja that the force had credible information on location of the Alpha fighter jet which crashed on Friday in embattled North-Eastern part of Nigeria. The jet with two pilots was on a mission when it disappeared from the radar between Yola and Maiduguri on Friday and a search and rescue operation had been dispatched to locate and rescue the pilots. He told state House correspondents after he met with Vice President Namadi Sambo, that inclement weather in the area had hampered search operations, but that citizens around the area of operation provided useful information on its possible location.
