Popular comedian Ali Baba has shared his own opinions regarding the issue of girl child education in relation to the educational qualifications of the First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan.In an interview with Hip Tv, Ali Baba touched a couple of controversial issuesin the country which have been topics ofdebates for years, including the recent case ofmass kidnap carried out in government secondary school in Chibok, Borno state by members of Boko haram.Ali Baba also spoke of the importance of educating the girl child, religious intolerance in parts of Nigeria, recurrent terrorist attacks and the First Lady of Nigeria.According to the comedian, the basic education of the girl child was very important and could avert a lot of things being seen as problem just like in the case of Patience Jonathan.Check out a clip from his interview below; Watch video

Manchester United are losing ground in the race to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho. Reports in Portugal suggest Manchester United's arch-rivals Liverpool have moved ahead of the Red Devils in the pecking order to sign Carvalho. The British media were adamant Manchester United had agreed a deal with their Portuguese counterparts to sign the 22-year-old in the summer. However Sporting Lisbon refuted such claims and revealed how they were confident of keeping the box-to-box midfielder for at least one more season. Liverpool believe they may be able to convince the £30million-rated midfielder to move over to England.

Manchester United held talks with Chelsea's Ashley Cole over the possibility of signing the left-back last summer. The Daily Mail suggest Cole's representatives spoke with Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid before he eventually signed a deal to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge. Manchester United were forced into turning their attention to Everton's Leighton Baines and Real Madrid's Fabio Coentrao during the summer.

Chelsea star David Luiz has agreed a lucrative five-year contract with Barcelona ahead of a £32m summer move, reports the Daily Star. Louis van Gaal has signed a deal to join Manchester United , according to reports in Italy. Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri believes Van Gaal's agent put pen to paper on behalf of the Netherlands coach earlier this morning. Van Gaal was unable to fly over to Manchester to complete the necessarily paperwork as he is currently occupied with the Netherlands national team. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich man has been linked with the role ever since David Moyes was dismissed at the end of April.

Manchester United target Marco Reus has refuted claims he could be set to move to Old Trafford before the start of next season. Reus has been continually linked with a move to the north-west giants throughout the course of the campaign as former Manchester United boss David Moyes was reportedly keen to add a fresh face to his wide options. The German playmaker has reportedly remained a leading target for Manchester United despite Moyes' sacking from his post at Old Trafford.

Chelsea have opened talks with Atletico Madrid to sign Diego Costa - and hope to complete a deal for the Brazil-born Spain international ahead of next month's World Cup finals. According to the Mail Online , Chelsea are prepared to activate the 25-year-old's £32m release clause before their rivals can make a move. Blues' boss Jose Mourinho has stated on numerous occasions this season that his team requires a new top-class striker, and the Portuguese coach has identified the prolific Costa as the ideal summer signing for the west London outfit.

Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha has publicly spoken for the first time about the lack of faith shown in him by former boss David Moyes. The youngster was shipped out on loan to Cardiff City having failed to impress since arriving at Old Trafford last summer. Just watch this on CNN. According to a CNN breaking news report, a new video purportedly showing at least 100 of the abducted Chibok girls has been obtained by AFP. The purported Boko Haram 27-minute video shows the girls alive and together, wearing Islamic Hijab headdress and reciting portions of the Quran. Those who said they have seen the video, including CNN reporters, say it seems the girls were speaking under duress.

A few days ago, Davido tweeted that he missed his flight to London because of immigration officers who were harassing him at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja because of money. The Nigerian Immigration Service has responded to Davido's claims.

In a season of disappointment for Manchester United, solace can be found in the performances of David de Gea. The young goalkeeper has impressed many this season, and was this week voted Player of the Year by his fellow players and the club's fans. Having arrived at Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid in 2011 for a fee believed to be around the £18million mark, de Gea initially struggled to come to terms with the physical nature of the Premier League. Since then the 23-year-old has come on leaps and bounds and is proving himself to be one of the best young goalkeepers in the world. However, his career is likely to stall now - that is unless he leaves Manchester United. It may seem odd, leaving a club just as you've finally established yourself as a key figure, but if de Gea is to take over from Iker Casillas as Spain's undisputed number one, it's his only choice.

Manchester United star Patrice Evra has finalised a deal to join Nemanja Vidic at Inter Milan, reports the Daily Telegraph. The future of Evra has been high on the agenda at Manchester United ever since Vidic confirmed his exit from the club. Like Vidic, Evra's contract expires at the end of the season but it is only now that the Frenchman has decided to leave Old Trafford. The 32-year-old has reportedly agreed a deal with the Serie A outfit and will move to Italy along with Manchester United's captain at the end of the season. Evra did have to option to extend his contract at Old Trafford after meeting to required amount of appearances this season. Manchester United, too, had to option to re-sign Evra but it is believed both parties agreed an amicable parting of ways was best.

Representatives of Xavi Hernandez have contacted Premier League clubs to offer them the chance to sign the Barcelona legend this summer, reports the Daily Star. At the tender age of 34, Xavi is looking for a lucrative move to finish off his career and has been linked with a transfer to the MLS with Barcelona seeking to move on some of their old guard.
