Abuja - Taiwo Awoniyi, Alhassan Ibrahim and Musa Yahaya will lead the Flying Eagles 20-man squad to two tune-up matches in Morocco. Awoniyi and Ibrahim each fired a hat-trick in a test game on Thursday in Abuja which the country’s U20 team won 12-0. The new Flying Eagles under coach Manu Garba will play two friendlies against their Moroccan counterparts on Wednesday, April 9, and another game two days later. Both teams are preparing for 2015 African Youth Championship qualifiers next month. Musical duo  P-Square have released the music video for their 2013 single Unlimited featuring Lagbaja. The music video is an animation depicting how P-square and Lagbaja use music to save the world,and is produced by Sporedust productions. The song is used by telecommunications giant, Globacom in their advertisments. P-Square signed a deal with  Akon's Konvict Muzik label in  May 2012, and have a  record distribution deal with Universal Music South Africa.

The State Security Service, SSS, has expressed its “disappointment and dissatisfaction” with Thursday’s judgment of the Federal High Court, Lagos, restraining it from further harassment of Lamido Sanusi, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria. In a statement in Abuja, Friday, the SSS said that it would appeal the judgment because it had acted under the law in detaining Mr. Sanusi and seizing his international passport. “It is therefore necessary to state that in impounding the passport of Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the Service acted in accordance with the law,”  Marilyn Ogar, the Spokesperson of the SSS said in the statement.. In a landmark judgment on Thursday, Justice Buba ordered the federal government, the Nigerian police, and the SSS, to issue a public apology as well as pay N50million in damages to Mr. Sanusi. Fast-rising hip hop singer, Solidstar has been endorsed as Super Eagles Ambassador. The deal was signed with the Nigerian Football Supporters Club recently. The deal will have Solidstar record and perform the official Super Eagles theme song for the Brazil 2014 world cup. June Ann Blocker, 52, of Kentucky, rammed her new car into the front of her local Kroger supermarket. This is not the first time that Blocker has rammed her car into a Kroger. She had also done so 15 years ago. At that time, she crashed into a Kroger at a different location. In the past, Blocker had worked at Kroger, but she has been fired. Two people suffered minor injuries in the incident, but fortunately, no one was seriously hurt. Blocker is now facing numerous charges, including DUI and criminal mischief.

Popular singer, Brymo, has finally released the hard copy of his third studio album, “Merchant, dealers and slaves”. The album release was reportedly based on a March 3 ruling of a Federal High Court in Lagos lifting the injunction gotten by his erstwhile record label, Chocolate City, restraining him from recording, releasing or distributing any musical works pending the determination of the suit against him. The album, which was produced by Mikky Me, was earlier released on online platforms- Spinlet and Itunes. It hit the market on Wednesday, March 26, 2014, with Guest Appearances from David O. Brymo, whose first album, Brymstone, was released in 2007 and the second, TheSonOfaKapenta, in 2012, is currently being sued by Chocolate City for breach of contract. He will return to court on Tuesday, April 8 as Presiding Justice Ibrahim Bubba of the Ikoyi High Court adjourned the case for further hearing.
