An estimated one thousand Christianand Hindu women are forced to convert and marry Muslim men in Pakistan every year, says a report released on Monday.According to a report by the Movement for Solidarity and Peace inPakistan, up to 700 of these women are Christian and 300 are Hindu.“The true scale of the problem is likely to be much greater, as a number of cases are never reported or do not progress through the law-enforcement and legal systems,”the authors claim.The Christian community in Pakistan is over two million in size, accounts for 42 per cent of Pakistan's minority population, and is mostly resident in Punjab.Christian girls — usually between the ages of 12 and 25 — are abducted, converted to Islam, and married to the abductor or third party.The victim's family usually files a First Information Report for abduction or rape with the local police station.The abductor, on behalf of the victim girl, files a counter FIR, accusing the Christian family of haras...

Two females and three men were arrested, Saturday morning by the Ogun State for being in possession of human heads and some pieces of human flesh.The five suspects were arrested in Joju area of Otta in Ado Odo Ota Local Government Area  of Ogun State in a joint operation conducted by the a team from Otta Divisional Police Headquarters led by Mr Gabriel Dibie and  the Special Anti Robbery Squad from the Lagos Command.The suspects were caught following a tip off from residents who alerrted the police team from Otta of their activities.The Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO), Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed arrest said  “exhibits recovered from them include one complete human head and pieces of human flesh in a container stained with liquid substance suspected to be human blood.”Adejobi, also stated that the case has been handed over to SARS Lagos while the Ogun will assist during the course of the investigation as directed by the Commissioner of Police in Ogu...

The group of Islamist gunmen who stormed the Westgate shopping mallin Nairobi last year, killing at least 67 people, may have entered Kenya from neighbouring Uganda, a senior police official was quoted as saying Saturday.Uganda’s police chief, General Kale Kayihura, cited intelligence reports indicating that Uganda had been used as a transit stage.
