Harrysong Vs. YES Magazine: Did Pop singer say his folks were siblings?...
Harrysong has denied ever saying his parents were siblings.
The Pop singer’s denial comes hours after reports quoted a YES Magazine interview where Harrysong allegedly stated that his father and mother are related by blood as brothers and sisters.
In a statement released by his
publicist, Harrysong also says not only did he never speak with YES
Magazine, he hasn’t granted any interview in the last 12 months.
‘I have not granted any magazine an
interview in the last 12 months where I spoke about my late parent so I
find it worrisome, disheartening that a magazine would manufacture a
story like such. It is disturbing‘, Harrysong says.
‘I implore that the blogs and
magazine respect the memory of my late mother and retract the
story/interview. I really I’m busy promoting my new video for ‘story’‘, he added.
A former staff at YES Magazine however says the interview did take place and there is a recording to prove it. ‘I listened to the recording back then and heard him say so, that I can tell you‘, a former staff of the tabloid paper (who’d rather remain anonymous).
Two days after Harry’s statement, YES
Magazine released a statement insisting that the Pop singer did have the
interview and told them his parents were indeed siblings.
‘As a responsible medium, Yes
International! had wanted to ignore him and his deliberate act of
mischief. But on a second thought, we decided otherwise, because in our
considered opinion, it will be suicidal to disregard the young man’s
insinuations and cheap blackmail. However, we are also not unaware of
Harrysong’s ignorance and this again is a restraining factor on our side‘, the statement read.
As earlier reported, the YES Magazine
interview is believed to have been published in 2012 and not ‘recently’
as reported by several blogs. The editors explain that the story
resurfaced because they recently republished the article on their
website.
