Santi Cazorla remains unsettled at Arsenal

Santi Cazorla remains unsettled with life at Arsenal as Atletico Madrid consider a bid to sign him this summer, reports The Daily Mail.
Initial reports regarding Cazorla's unhappiness emerged early last month before Arsenal had made any significant moves in the transfer market. Cazorla was still at the World Cup with Spain and Atletico Madrid's apparent interest seemed tentative.
However, a month later and reports of a potential transfer to the Vicente Calderon simply will not go away. There was significant developments on Wednesday of this week when widespread reports claimed Diego Simeone was eyeing a double swopp for Nacho Monreal and Cazorla.

A popular Arsenal player
Few Arsenal fans would weep at the departure of reserve left-back Monreal, although Wenger would be forced to enter the transfer market to find a replacement. With regards to Cazorla, the selling of their FA Cup final hero would be greeted to groans from fans tired of seeing their best players leave.
However, Arsenal may be forced to cash in on the 29-year-old, who may not be adapting to life in London as well as once thought. Cazorla hit the ground running after signing from Malaga in 2012, winning Arsenal's Player of the Season award in the process.
Since then his position in the squad has been reduced thanks to some big signings. The addition of Mesut Ozil saw his playing time in his favoured No. 10 role minimalised. When Cazorla did play it was usually in the wide area where he played second fiddle to the likes of Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski.
Arsenal ready to sell
If Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain stay fit, Cazorla may be surplus to requirements and some reports suggest Wenger will be happy to sell for a fee of £15 million. Alexis Sanchez will also provide competition on the wings meaning Cazorla could be spending his peak years on the Arsenal bench; something he doesn't seem to be happy to do.
