Cesc Fabregas takes worst penalty ever?

Cesc Fabregas took one of the worst penalties we’ve seen for a long time in an international friendly for Spain against El Salvador on Saturday evening. The Barcelona midfielder, who is poised to complete a move to Chelsea over the coming weeks, blazed his spot-kick miles over the crossbar.
The 27-year-old is usually cool under pressure, but the in-demand star - who has also been linked with Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and his former club Arsenal in recent weeks - got this latest penalty all wrong.
Fabregas was presented with the chance to put Spain 1-0 ahead at the FedExField in Washington DC when Diego Costa was brought down inside the penalty area. But whether it was the stifling heat, the incessant transfer speculation or, simply, a badly-hit shot - it’s safe to say he made a proper mess of it.
Fortunately, though, Spain went on to win the match 2-0, with both goals coming from David Villa.
Fabregas might have harboured hopes to become Chelsea’s penalty taker following the departure of Frank Lampard. Let’s hope Jose Mourinho wasn’t watching in that case, eh Cesc?
