Robin van Persie's son shows off amazing close control

Arsenal enter battle for Van Persie

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie's son Shaqueel joined his father on a photoshoot and interview session with BT Sport this week, showing off early signs of the kind of finesse that his made his old man one of the most technically-gifted forwards in world football.
Seven-year-old Shaqueel is already playing regularly at his age group with both Manchester United and surprisingly bitter rivals Man City, with a video released by BT earlier today showing exactly why.
Van Persie's boy starts off the short viral hit by flicking the ball up and showing off a few keep-ups that suggest he may well have a future in the game, before a game of head tennis with his dad that adds to that opinion.

The Dutch international went on to share that Shaqueel will have to pick just one team to play for in around 12 months, but for now the emphasis must remain on enjoying the game and not putting too much pressure on the youngster.
Football prodigies often struggle to match their father's exploits, but judging from the video at the top of the page Shaqueel's progress is well worth following!
